Remarks
In his usage of Orophaca triphylla (Eaton & Wright) Britton in Britton & Brown, Ill. Fl. 2: 306. 1897 (with references to Astragalus triphyllus Pursh 1813 (non Pallas 1800), P. triphylla Eaton & Wright, and A. gilviflorus Sheldon 1894), Isely inadvertently published O. triphylla as a superfluous illegitimate nom. nov. for P. caespitosa Nuttall (1818). [Britton published O. caespitosa (not O. triphylla).]
