protologue (26 May 1900): ... a strain of Schizanthus, with rather smaller flowers than the type (S. pinnatus Ruiz & Pav.)). They are very variable in colour, but generally pink, yellow, or deep brown, with white. The plants in flower formed pretty little pyramids of slender growth and abundant flowers
