Remarks

The authors describe the holotype as 'discovered', not collected, and state:'It is crucial to emphasize that collection of rare plant taxa, such as our rare orchid hybrids from the highly protected Harghita Mădăraş ROSCI00090 area, is illegal, even when granted a study or work permit... In recent years, photographs of the holotype(s) are also accepted as herbarium vouchers' and 'conservation status of all the taxa considered, accompanied by photographs of the holotypes'. The photograph is of a living plant, and there is no indication that even a leaf was collected as a voucher. The authors stated (via email) that 'The herbarium specimen (all herbarium specimens) includes leaves and 1-3 single flowers. These explants did not damage at all the living individuals and did not interfere with their propagation.' Nevertheless, the term 'type' not used. Instead, 'Herbarium voucher specimen', with the concept of holotype discussed elsewhere.
