Remarks

doi:10.1002/tax.12892 Etymology: the genus name is derived from the Latin gaudium (joy, gladness or delight) in honour of the late Joy Thompson (1923–2018) whose work on Leptospermum and its allies was a major contribution to our knowledge of the tribe Leptospermeae and laid the foundation for the present research. The original spelling of the Latin word is retained to maintain neuter gender for the constituent species.
