Status: nom. illeg. later homonym Linnaeus (Mant. Pl. 128. 1767) published P. indica, referred to Rumph. amb. t. 10. f. 1, and cited the locality as India; for his P. indica, Burman cited a reference to Rumph. amb. 6. p. 29. t. 12. f. 2 and cited the locality as Java; he did not refer to Linnaeus. Since the cited references and localities are different, the Burman name is treated here as illegitimate.
