Remarks
P. aureisquama: widespread and much collected in Costa Rica (and apparently endemic there) … basically montane (700–1600 m) in very wet and pluvial forests, is segregated from Polybotrya alfredii Brade on the basis of numerous differences involving the rhizome scales and fronds.
