N. E. Brown inadvertently published his C. caffra as a sp. nov.; he referred to Antholyza caffra Baker (in Handb. Irid. 230. 1892, nom. superfl. & illegitimate), but excluded its illegitimacy causing synonym Anisanthus splendens Sweet (1821). Treated as an orthographical variant, Art. 61.6, ICN (Madrid).
