Remarks
Barroso (1959) proposed “Mikania pseudohoffmanniana” as a sp.nov. and provided a Latin description, but did not cite or indicate a type. Holmes (1993) ascribed the preceding species name to Barroso, gave a full and direct reference to Barroso’s 1959 Latin description, cited a holotype, and thus effected a valid publication. The validated species name is attributed to Barroso alone, not to “G. M. Barroso ex W. Holmes” as given by Holmes (see ICN Art. Exs. 20-21)
