Remarks
Rollins (Rhodora 43: 365-367. 1941) followed Hopkin's treatment. However, Mulligan (Rhodora 97: 147. 1996 (1995)) and Holmgren (Intermountain Fl. 2B: 368. 2005) treated A. lyallii as a nom. & stat. nov. for A. drummondii var. alpina S. Watson 1871 (non A. alpina L. 1753).
