Remarks
Conservation of Xanthorrhoea Soland. ex Sm. against Acoroides Soland. ex C.Kite has been proposed (ref. E.C.Nelson & D.J.Bedford, Taxon 41 (1992) 756. Nom. subnud. protologue (pp. 26-27): 'The plant that produces it is low and small, with long grassy leaves; but the fructification of it shoots out in a singular manner from the centre of the leaves, on a single strait stem, to the height of twelve or fourteen feet. … at the top of the trunk of the tree, long grassy leaves grow in great abundance … '
