Remarks
Although Muhlenberg did not provide a description nor refer to the basionym Panicum ischaemum Schreb. (1804), he cited D. paspalodes Michx. (1803) as a synonym, which renders validity and also illegitimacy to D. ischaemum. As a valid name, D. ischaemum was legitimately published as a comb. nov. (Arts. 33.2, 33.6c. apply).
