- ISSN 1727-9933 online version. Founded at 1974 by the Biologist's Association of San Marcos University. Since 1974 to 1994 were published four volumes and six issues. In 1998 the Science Biology Faculty of San Marcos University obtain the rights of the journal. Since this time the Revista Peruana de Biologia comes being the official scientific journal of the Faculty. This journal has a semester periodicity
