Remarks
M.P.de Vos's intended new combination R. neglecta was inadvertently published as a new species. Although he cited Ixia neglecta Schult. as the basionym, he explicitly excluded its type. The preceding name is a new name for Trichonema speciosum Ker Gawl. 1804 (non I. speciosa Andrews 1802). On p. 73, M.P.de Vos listed T. speciosum as one of the insufficiently known species and thus excluded it from R. neglecta. M.P.de Vos's reference to Schultes provides the validating Latin description.
