Remarks
Miers simultaneously published “14.” Saracha diffusa (p. 447) and “23.” S. diffusa (p. 451); both homonyms are legitimate. Dunal and A. De Candolle (Prodr. 13(1): 684. 1852) renamed species no. 23 as S. miersii Dunal & A.DC., and on p. 683, they retained the name S. diffusa for species 14, so that the latter name is perceived as having priority over its homonym.
