Remarks

doi:10.11646/phytotaxa.434.2.4 The specific epithet honors Daniel Santamaría-Aguilar, a very talented Costa Rican botanist with an extensive knowledge of the Neotropical flora, who is working on the taxonomic treatment of Burseraceae for the Flora of Costa Rica, and collected one of the paratypes of this new species that is the source for many of the field observations presented here.
