- Type specimen from Joint Rock Garden Plant Committee award, cultivated at R.B.G. Kew, in Herb. Hort. Wisley. Known only from cultivation, but apparently propagated from a wild collection of uncertain provenance in S.E. Yunnan.
Remarks
doi:10.1111/curt.12283 This taxon is named thermopuncta (hotspot) with reference to its growing in a biodiversity hotspot, though of uncertain geographical provenance, and the dark spot in the corolla tube.
