Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. inval. Direct reference to the basionym (Atropa arborescens L.) lacking. For his intended new combination Iochroma arborescens, Shaw cited Acnistus arborescens Schltdl. as the basionym and gave a direct and full reference. However, the preceding name itself was published as a new combination (Acnistus arborescens (L.) Schltdl.) based on Atropa arborescens (see Shenzhen Code Art. 41.8 Ex. 25)
