Remarks
The species is dedicated to Natalie Warford, 'a former resident of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, who was the first to recognize the existence of this species as an entity distinct from other Lophiaris species from western Mexico. She cultivated plants and eventually prepared vouchers of this new species, which she also drew beautifully.'
