Since it was impossible legally to collect a specimen of this orchid for preservation in accordance with the provisions governing the collection of such material under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981, an illustration in the form of two photographs has been deposited at Kew (K) as the holotype in accordance with Art. 37.4 of ICBN (St. Louis Code).
