Status: nom. illeg. nom. superfl. Protologue: ‘Primula roxburghii Balak. nom. nov. P. rotundifolia Roxb. Fl. Ind. ed. 2, 2 : 18, 1824 (non Pallas 1776) ...’; the author Balakrishnan erred in attributing the name P. rotundifolia to Roxburgh (instead of to Wallich), in citing ‘ed. 2’ (instead of ed. 1), and in treating ‘P. rotundifolia Pall.’ as valid; therefore, ‘Primula roxburghii’ was superfluous when published.
