Remarks
Not in Index Kewensis. As this name predates Eriostemon lanceolatum C.F.Gaertner (1807) which Index Nominum Genericorum 2 (1979) 638 gives as the type of the genus, it should presumably be accepted as the type. Persoon refers to Smith in Act. Soc. Linn. 5: 4 where Smith describes the genus but does not make any combinations at specific rank.
