Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. inval. On p. 68, Schneider provided a description for his new taxon; he, however, was uncertain on the rank of the taxon (P. dielsiana or P. szechuanica var. dielsiana); on p. 201 (index), P. szechuanica var. dielsiana is listed as an accepted name; the format of the protologue on p. 68 implies the rank of a variety.
Remarks
Protologue: “Sollte es sich um eine neue Art oder um eine distinkte Varietat der P. szechuanica handeln, so schlage ich den Namen P. Dielsiana beziehungsweise var. Dielsiana vor.” reads “If it is a new species or a distinct variety of P. szechuanica, I suggest the name P. Dielsiana or var. Dielsiana [before]”
