Remarks
Etymology: Study area: The Sierras Australes are a group of mountain ranges in the southwest of the province of Buenos Aires, with the highest peaks at 900–1200 m. This geological system is subdivided into three subgroups: Ventana, Pillahuinco and Curamalal. They are distinguished by the rock types and different geological ages (Suero 1972).
