Eponymy: António Luiz Patricio da Silva Manso (1788-1848). For the basionym and their new combination, Borchs. & S.Suárez cited the epithet as mansoi. The basionym epithet mansonis is a 3rd declension genitive (to be avoided, but must not be corrected to mansoi)
