Status: nom. inval. nom. subnud. Latin: Plantae floribus inter parentes mediae, habitu E. altissimae similiores (lacks a character distinguishing E. camagueyensis from the hybrid parent species).

Protologue type info: Municipality of Minas, Locality Los Orientales, originally collected June 18 2006, flowered in cultivation in July 2006, E. Rodriguez Seijo 036 (Holotype HIPC, 10462).
