Remarks
protologue: Sarracenia terrae-novae Pylaie, Mem. Soc. Linn. Paris 6: 389. 1827 ex Wherry, Bartonia 15: 1-6. 1933 = S. purpurea L. Pylaie, however, did not publish S. terrae-novae; he published S. purpurea var. terrae-novae, which was treated as a synonym of S. purpurea by Wherry.
