Nomenclatural Notes

Status: nom. inval. nom. subnud. According to the protologue (This species connects Whitlavia with Phacelia agreeing with the former in the scales at the base of the stamens, and with Phacelia (Eutoca) in the form of the corolla.), P. parryi seems almost intermedaite between Whitlavia and Phacelia, but lacks diagnostic features.
