On p. 341, ‘Veratrum versicolor Nakai, sp. nov.’ was published as a nom. nud.; under this invalid name, Nakai (pp. 341-342) proposed 3 infrasp. names, viz., 1) ‘forma brunneum Nakai (with Latin description & synonymy)’; 2)‘f. albidum Nakai, comb. nov. (with Latin diagnosis & basionym)’; and 3) ‘f. viride, n.f. (with Latin diagnosis & synonymy)’; all the 3 infrasp. names are also invalid
