Remarks
NNees simultaneously published “9.” N. willdenoviana (p. 290) and “29.” N. willdenoviana (p. 321). In 1840, Dietrich (Syn. Pl. 2: 1646, nos. 1346 & 1348. 1840) renamed species 29 as N, neesii D. Dietr. and retained the name N. willdenoviana for species 9, so that “9.” N. willdenoviana is treated as having priority over its homonym “29.” N. willdenoviana. Therefore, Nees's renaming of species 9 as N. bredemeyeriana Nees is superfluous.
