Eponymy: As regards the name of the new species, I wish to commemorate the help received from Dr. C. A. Pratt, Ph.D., of the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, under whose guidance and supervision much of the work connected with the Flora of Khandala has been carried out during my stay in London in the years 1946-1948.
