Bentham published Miscanthus saccharifer (Imperata saccharifera Anderss.) and did not provide a description. As noted by Hackel (in A. DC. & C. DC., Monogr. Phaner. 6: 102. 1889) Bentham's citation is likely an error for Miscanthus sacchariflorus (Imperata sacchariflora Maximowich, Prim. Fl. Amur. 331. 1859), but not correctable. [Maximowich (l.c.) did not refer to Andersson.]
