The sheet in P-Bonpl. has no locality . . . Most likely, the collection¹notes were in fact lost as stated by Kunth, and the specimen was actually¹collected in southern Ecuador. Bonpland may have added (inaccurate)¹locality data from memory. (fide Eriksen)
