Remarks: Holub accepted "Chamerion (Raf.) Raf. Herb. Raf., 51. 1833" (invalid), cited "Epilobium L. subgen. Chamerion Raf. Amer. Monthly Mag. Crit. Rev. 2: 266, 1818" as the basionym (invalid), and provided a Latin description, along with type species citation. He thus inadvertently validated Chamerion as a new genus.
