Adanson (p. 325) cited Dolichos L. as a synonym for his Lablab, and on. P. 550, he listed “Dolichos Lin. V(id.) Lablab. However, for Lablab Adanson (p. 567) mentioned Dolichos. 1. Linn. Sp. 725, and thus included only the first of Linnaeus' 12 species of Dolichos in Lablab. Therefore, the name Lablab was legitimate when published
