Nomenclatural Notes
Status: nom. rej. Taxonomy of Q. prinus seems uncertain and thus treated as a nom. ambig. by some. Whittemore & Nixon (in Taxon 54: 213. 2005) proposed Q. prunus for rejection. Their proposal was accepted by the Melbourne Congress (see Taxon 60: 1211, 1510. 2011).
