Note: Boeckeler (Flora 39(21): 321. 1856) suggested the epithet should be corrected to 'brazasana' (for the Rio Brazas) but it does not seem to be a typographical error as 'Rio Baazas' is mentioned in protologue and also on p. 316 for Cyperus baazas.
