Remarks

Eponymy: 'M. l’abbe Armand David'; the Latin name “Armandus” has been in existence for >1,500 years, e.g., Saint Amandus was a 5th-century bishop of Bordeaux. Since the author Franchet published the epithet as “armandi”, it is construed here that he intentionally Latinized the honoree’s name Armand to Armandus and coined the epithet as 'armandi' (not correctable to ‘armandii’)
