Dahlstedt did not propose H. uplandiae as the name of a new taxon or as a new name; he emended the circumscription of H. cymosum subsp. uplandiae Nägeli & Peter (1885), used it as an accepted name, and cited as: H. cymosum H. * Uplandiae. [Dahlstedt used * sign to indicate the rank of subspecies]
