Eponymy (vide basionym): Son nom especiflque est une hommago rendu a Sa Mageste l'Imperatrice D(ona).Thereza Christina Maria (1822-1889). “Therasia” is the Latin form of Thereza, and Barbosa used Therasia to coin the epithet therasiae, Some correct the epithet as theresiae or therezae. No correction is needed.
