Remarks
Although Maxon typified Pteris killipii by E. P. Killip & A.¹C. Smith 24697, he also cited Spruce 4063 as a paratype,¹which is the type of P. vestita Baker 1867; hence, P.¹killipii was taxonomically superflous when published. See¹Arbelaez, Fl. Colombia (1983+) 18: 53. 1996
