Lopriore cited the synonym as “Sericocoma sect. Kyphocarpa Fenzl” and published the genus name as “Cyphocarpa (Fenzl) Lopr.” Based on the Shenzhen Code Art. 60.2 and 60.3, the original genus name spelling Cyphocarpa is retained and treated as a nom. & stat. nov. here. No need to correct the genus name to Kyphocarpa.
