Remarks

Eponymy: Henry William Ravenel (1814-1887). Gray cited the type collector’s name as Ravenel; he seemed to have implicitly Latinized the honoree’s name as Ravenellius and coined the epithet as ravenellii (not correctable to “ravenelii”)
