Munz ascribed the name to Fawcett & West. Munz ascribed the name to Fawcett & West. According to Hester Bell (RSA; pers. comm.), Munz, however, corrected Fawcett to Fassett in his personal copy of the book, and West pertains to L.West, who had annotated a Munz collection to D. stricta var. laxa.
