Remarks
gender: neuter (see ICN Art. 62.2(c)). Dan H. Nicolson (in Taxon 43(1): 104. 1994) assigned feminine gender to Trianthema, but according to Werner Greuter (B; pers. comm.), Nicolson changed his opinion later and treated generic names with –anthema ending as neuter. Type species epithet portulacastrum is a noun in apposition.
