Remarks
Although Standl. based his T. cyclopterus on Abronia cycloptera A. Gray (1853) and cited A. Gray as the parenthetical author, he excluded the type of A. cycloptera (i.e., the type of A. micrantha Torr. (1843); see p. 328) from T. cyclopterus; at the same time, he cited A. carnea as a synonym of T. cyclopterus.
