Remarks

On p. 148, Hooker and Arnott proposed ‘Tridax ? galardioides’ as the name of a new species, and on p. 149, the authors remarked that ‘the inflorescence so resembles a ‘Galardia,’ that had we not examined it minutely, we should have placed it in that genus; the name ‘Galardia” is a spelling error for the genus name Gaillardia Foug. (1786), and the epithet spelling ‘galardioides’ is corrected here to ‘gaillardioides’
