Published as a replacement name for Gnetum bosavicum Markgr. but with M.Jacobs 8783 indicated as holotype. SInce Doweld doesn't exclude the holotype of G. bosavicum (M. Jacobs 9410) his name is superfluous (see Arts. 7.5 & 52, Melbourne Code).
