In the synonymy of his Pharbitis nil var. limbata, Hooker f. included the following: Pharbitis albo-marginata Lindl. in Journ. Hort. Soc. v. 33; Henfrey in Gard. Mag. Bot. v. 2. 217, cum ic.; Flore des Serres, t. 608; Lemaire, Jardin Fleauriste t. 97. the preceding works listed P. limbata, not P. albo-marginata. Meisner (Fl. Bras. (Martius) 7(48): 228. 1869) perpetuated Hooker's error.
