Remarks
Trinius cited Cynodon Rich. as a synonym of Chloris Sw. and thus inadvertently included Cynodonteae Dumort. (Jun–Sep 1824) as a synonym of Chlorideae. Nevertheless, Chlorideae Trin. is legitimate. This is because, the tribal name is based on the stem of the legitimate generic name Chloris (see Melbourne Code Art. 52.3).
