Remarks
In his usage of Calopogon pulchellus (R. Br.) on p. 132, footnote (issued on 26 Aug 1921), Fernald excluded its illegitimacy causing type (i.e., Limodorum tuberosum L. 1753) and inadvertently published C. pulchellus as a sp. nov. on p. 245. His references to Swartz (1799) and R. Brown (1813) satisfy the requirement for a description; Correll (in Native Orchids N. Amer. 173. 1951 (1950)) also excluded L. tuberosum L. from C. pulchellus.
